Children ages 4-10 and their parent(s) will learn how to plant seeds, transplant young seedlings, and track the growth through harvest of common garden plants. We start seeds in mini-pots, filling them with a special seed -tarting mix, and learn the basics of photosynthesis and what a plant needs in order to grow. We will then head out to the garden and practice planting in the garden, while our Longhorn cattle watch from across the pathway.
