Donate & SPONSOR

At Pioneer Farms, your support is more than just dollars and cents—it’s an investment in impactful learning opportunities, exceptional guest experiences and the preservation of Texas’ storied past.

Since 1975, Pioneer Farms has offered guests engaging and authentic experiences through restored historic areas, youth and adult programs and special events. Your generous gifts fund these experiences for our more than 160,000 visitors each year.

Our current project:

  • Restore the historic Dodson House, once the home of Freedman leaders Jack and Mary Jane Dodson, as part of a new history site showcasing the successes of formerly enslaved Texans following emancipation. The house — one of the few extant Freedman farm homes in Texas — was moved from the Manchaca area to save it from demolition. Pleaase consider a donation to help pay the estimated $350,000 cost to restore the one-story house and create this important new history site. Donate at the button on the bottom of this page.

  • Restore the replica Sam Houston Stagecoach for use as an exhibit at our Stage Coach Stop history site showcasing the progress of transportation in 1800s Texas. Gifts have launched the $25,000 project. with $10,000 remaining to complete it. Please consider helping with this most worthy grassroots preservation initiative to provide a new interpretive exhibit . Donate at the button on the bottom of this page.

Gifts of any size can help a variety of other projects.

  • A gift of $300 ensures school classes can participate in 1800s crafts and activities during their visits.

  • $800 provides 50 bales of hay for our animals that participate in historical programs.

  • A gift of $1,000 will pay for horse-drawn wagons or carriages at an event.

  • $2,500 subsidizes a field trip for a low-income school.

  • A gift of $5,000 pays for the installation of a new exhibit.

  • A gift of $10,000 pays to expand our historical Pioneer School artisans program or help restore an historical building on the Sprinkle Corner town square.
