At a time when families are looking for ways to stretch their finances, this 1800s method or preserving eggs unrefrigerated for up to 18 months if growing in popularity — by effectively sealing the pores of the eggshells, preventing bacterial contamination and spoilage. Materials provided. Taught at the 1878 Jourdan Cabin at 1:30 p.m. (1 hour). Can be an add-on session for our popular Backyard Chickens class or a freestanding session for anyone.

Enrollment must be completed at least one week before the class date.
No refunds are offered once the enrollment fee has been received.
If a student cannot attend, they may reschedule once on a space-available basis. To reschedule, students must contact us in writing before the class begins at info@pioneerfarms.org. No exceptions.
