Prepare a meal on a wood-fired stove just like the pioneers once did, at the only place in the Austin area where you can learn original Texas cooking skills and eat an authentic Old Texas meal. Taught by an historical culinary expert.

Menus: May — Chicken, greens, sweet potatoes and a fruit tart.

Make cheese two 1800s cheeses — both hard and soft — from common ingredients purchased from your local grocery store. Class includes ingredient lists and principles of making two types of cheese, a fast-paced experience taught in an historic cabin. Take home some homemade cheese.

Enrollment & Refunds

  • Enrollment must be completed at least one week before the class date.
