Turn up the heat and craft a date night you’ll both remember! Step inside our historic smithy and experience the thrill of shaping hot steel together. Couples will get a fun, hands-on introduction to forges, fires, and the magic of working metal—no experience needed. You’ll create a take-home project that’s as memorable as the evening itself. Come ready to laugh, learn, and quite literally make sparks fly.

We offer several versions of this fiery date night—come to one or come to all:

Horseshoe Heart Night

Forge a pair of horseshoe hearts and join them together into a single intertwined piece. It’s charming, meaningful, and full of “we made this together” energy.

S’mores Night

Make your own custom marshmallow roasters at the forge, then step outside and put them to use over a campfire—complete with s’mores. It’s sweet, simple, and delightfully fun.

Whether you're celebrating something special or just looking for an unforgettable night out, this date night blends craftsmanship, romance, and adventure in all the right ways.

Enrollment & Refunds

• Enrollment must be completed at least one week before the class date.

• No refunds are offered once the enrollment fee has been received.

• If a student cannot attend, they may reschedule once on a space-available basis. To reschedule, students must contact us in writing before the class begins at info@pioneerfarms.org. No exceptions.

Prerequisites

• Basic Blacksmithing Intro, or novice level skill

• After completing it, students become eligible for Basic Blacksmithing: Core Skills.

What to Wear

• A cotton or other natural-fiber shirt (long sleeves optional)

• Long pants or jeans

• Work boots or closed-toe shoes

What to Bring

• Safety glasses (required)

• Hearing protection (optional)

• Water (at least 1 gallon in the summer)

• Sack lunch (classes include a 30-minute break)

• Gourmet sandwiches, chips, and drinks are available for purchase in the General Store.
