First Sunday of March, May, June and September
A fast-paced introduction to growing your own food in your own backyard, just like the pioneers did. This short field course will touch on soil, compost, planting, growing seasons, vegetable types and more — all from our resident Green Thumb. By the time you leave, you’ll be ready to site a backyard garden, know how to work the soil for best results, and what and when to plant so you can grow your own groceries.
SITE: Cotton Farm. FEE: $40. TIME: 4 hours, 1 to 5 p.m.
