Join us on Sunday, April 1, for a special Easter Sunrise Service conducted by our partner and neighbor, Holy Word Lutheran Church. The annual service will begin held amid Texas history in our Sprinkle Corner entrance village. The free service is open to the public.

The service will begin at 7 a.m. and will feature live music, an empty tomb, a cross made of live flowers that makes a beautiful backdrop for photos, an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and a full breakfast served at Holy Word Lutheran Church nearby after the event.

Outdoor services like this one were once popular in this part of Central Texas during the 1800s, when congregations celebrated Easter at sunrise rather than the regular church time, then spent a day of fellowship, faith and community together over a meal and with activities for children.

Please join us on Easter for this unique sunrise religious service to celebrate the risen Christ, just like the Pioneers once did.
