CHRISTMAS FUN: Saturday, December 6
Holiday fun from 1800s Texas for all ages will be front and center on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Pioneer Farms.
A special holiday crafts festival will be offered in our Wessels dance hall, where guests can paint nutcrackers (a big holiday tradition in the 1800s) and make wreaths and other crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plus, a special musical ensemble will be present singing 1800s holiday carols in the astoried venue.
A Victorian Santa will be on hand for selfies and for children who have last-minute wish lists for St. Nick.
Our historic sites will be decorated just as they would have been during the 1800s, and as you tour our sites you can play the 12 Days of Christmas game for prizes each day.
Our Jackson & Giles General Merchandise will offer holiday collectibles, vintage gifts and unique treasures and souvenirs.
Plus, a doubleheader of our popular Blacksmithing Introductory class will be held at 8 a.m. on both Dec. 6 and 7. Spots are filling fast so enroll soon.
Come step back in time and experience the holiday season in 1800s Texas, like no place else in the Lone Star State.
Regular admission will be charged on Saturday, and Members get in for free.
