REMEDY: WASP CONTROL

From Home Remedies and Useful Accoutrements, 1873: “The assignment of peppermint oil will repel wasps and stinging insects. Mix three drops of oil in a half cup of water, then dab on open areas or nests where the insects cluster. Cuttings of plants from the garden can also be hung with similar results.”
