What's New at Pioneer Farms?
Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate our nation's independence with an old fashioned 4th of July celebration in the village of Sprinkle Corner with historic poems read by our Sprinkle Corner children, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, a display of historic American Flags, and lots of games, just like were enjoyed by both children and adults during Independence Day Celebrations in small towns throughout the 1800's. And your feet are sure to be tapping to the bluegrass style of music on the Sprinkle Corner stage all day!
We'll also have Aloha Shaved Ice selling shaved ices to help keep you cool and Above and Beyond Catering will provide sausage wraps and smoked brisket, among other fare, for purchase when you become hungry.
The fruit harvest won't wait so plan to stop into our Cotton Farm Kitchen to see how jams and jellies were made during the 19th Century. Take some time to relax in the shade at the Texian Homestead while you enjoy the music of CELTAIRE STRINGS then drop by the Cotton Farm again to hear music from STATIC CORRECTION as they perform many songs popular during the 19th C. all day.
Rumors abound the LOST HOPE GUNFIGHTERS will be around the barn all day stirring up trouble so be on your guard. Visit with Calamity Jane at our German Farm and hear tales of her amazing adventures.
Register to win a Quilting Class, a Gold Nugget Family Pass, or a pair of knives made in the Pioneer Farms blacksmith shop by one of our talented artisans.
Check here for a schedule of the event.
Saturday, July 4; 10am-2pm; Tickets $8 children over 2/$10 adult/$40 maximum for parents and children or grandparents and grandchildren.
