With the basics of blacksmithing under your belt, you need tools of your own to begin working at home. Come out on your vacation and get forged. This class teaches the traditional techniques of making your own tools for working the steel, including punches, chisels, and tongs. You will leave with a basic tool set for blacksmithing — including a hammer that we provide. Materials and lunch provided each day.
Must be 18 years old to enroll. Younger students must be pre-approved at least one week in advance of class date. ALL ENROLLMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE CLASS DATE. All enrollments are subject to availability. PRIOR COMPLETION OF BLACKSMITHING 1.0 REQUIRED.
SITE: Smithy. TIME: 30 hours over 5 days, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
