Third Saturday-Sunday of May

The most important tool on the frontier was the ax, whether as a tool for cutting firewood, the tool with which you built a new cabin or as a weapon. This class will teach you how to make an ax using traditional techniques, including hammer skills, designs and more. Materials provided. 

Must be 18 years old to enroll. Younger students must be pre-approved at least one week in advance of class date. ALL ENROLLMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE CLASS DATE. All enrollments are subject to availability. PRIOR COMPLETION OF OF BLACKSMITHING 2.0 REQUIRED.

SITE: Smithy. FEE: $200. TIME: 10 hours over two days, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
