Thursdays, October-November & March-May
Not so many years ago, this would have been called a shop class — with a history twist. Students get instruction in traditional woodworking, with vintage tools in our historic carpentry shop. Learn the basics of traditional woodworking — from planes and lathes, and mortise and tenon construction to shaving horses and chisels. Three hands-on classes. Safety training provided.
FEE: $50 per student. By reservation only. TIME: 4 hours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*Title 1 schools qualify for a discount of $1 per student. Title 1 status must be declared at the time of registration. This discount does not affect the required $50 deposit, and the discount will be taken off at the time the remaining balance is invoiced.
