PRAIRIE FAMILY CHRISTMAS: Saturday Evenings in December
Celebrate the holidays with us on four weekends in December, with music, shows, dancing and caroling hayrides, just like in 1800s Texas.
Also, our 1880s-decorated houses will be available for visitors to see all day. Our historic sites will be all dolled up just like they would have been in the 1800s, and as visitors walk around they can see the history of Christmas in Central Texas. A special bingo-style game for visitors will offer prizes. This is a daytime activity only, and is not offered at the nighttime event.
Regular admission is charged for the daytime activities.
Nightly on Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22, from 6-9 p.m., our "Prairie Family Christmas" celebration will offer family-friendly entertainment in our Sprinkle Corner entrance village, with different holiday shows, music, make-an-ornament crafts and food each night. More details will be posted at Thanksgiving.
Other fun activities will be available including shopping for unique holiday gifts in our General Store. There, you'll find Austin's best selection of history gifts and collectables — perfect for the holidays. Candy canes and other give-aways will be offered to visitors on all weekends.
