Our special spring showcase day for Central Texas homeschool families and the general public on Friday, March 2, will bring Old Texas to life — with a Republic of Texas touch, since we're celebrating on Texas Independence Day.

Visitors will see authentic frontier life on our historic sites — the 1841 Tonkawa Encampment, the 1868 German Farm, the 1873 Texian Farm, the 1886 Cotton Planter's Farm and the 1899 Sprinkle Corner village. Plus, spring should be abloom with colorful wildflowers and and budding trees.

Admission will be $5 per person, a discount from our regular admission on this one day only.

The popular event annually attracts hundreds of families for a day of fun, and we're expecting a big crowd this year. Plan to come early and stay late to take in all the Texas history we're offering. Gates open at 10 a.m.

Snacks and souvenirs are available in our General Store.

Come one, come all! This will be a great day to step back in time and see what Old Texas was really like!
