School groups from Pre-K through high school, home school to college, can learn and do at Pioneer Farms, in our specialty programs that allow children to explore the past as they discover their future. Our 90-plus acre living history park is the most unique, learning-oriented classroom in Central Texas.
We offer history and nature programs each Friday, and by reservation on Wednesdays and Thursdays. All programs mesh with curriculum requirements for the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills metrics.

HOME SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Come one or come all. Pioneer Farms has something for home-schooled students of all ages. Explore Texas’ past through a variety of programs and historic adventures for your entire family. Our programs cover a variety of Texas academic standards and enhance learning for home-educated students of all ages.
We offer a special day for home-school families each fall and spring. Pioneer Farms also offers volunteering opportunities for home-schooling families.

Pioneer Farms offers a variety of programs for Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts, and Brownies and Daisies, including campouts on our historic grounds.
For Cub Scouts, we offer belt loop and pin classes from 1-5 on Sundays by reservation. Classes are available in Geology, Geography, Collecting, Heritages, Weather, Wildlife Conservation and Map & Compass. Price is $10 per Scout per afternoon. Accompanying adults are $5 each. Several belt loops usually can be accomplished in one afternoon.
We also offer for Cub Scouts the Texas Badge. Price is $10 per Scout per afternoon. Accompanying adults are $5 each. The Texas Badge course takes one afternoon to complete.
For Brownies, Daisies and Girl Scouts, we offer specialty electives classes from 1-5 on Sundays by reservation. Call 837-1215 for details. We can tailor a class for your needs. Price is $10 per Scout per afternoon. Accompanying adults are $5 each.
For Webelos and Boy Scouts, we offer skills courses and outdoor electives classes by reservation. Call 512.837.1215 for details. We can tailor a class for your needs. Price is $10 per Scout per afternoon. Accompanying adults are $5 each.
Campouts can be arranged at one of several camping sites on out secure, fenced property. Restrooms and cooking areas are provided. Dates are by reservation only. Call 837-1215 for details and to book a date. Price is $10 per participant per night, Scout or adult, with a $100 minimum per group.
Pioneer Farms also welcomes Eagle Scout projects, from helping restore historic sites to raising an 1850s log building to building nature trails. Ask for a list of available projects at firstname.lastname@example.org.
