Austin Family Music Festival

Mark your calendars: The Austin Family Music Festival is coming up on Saturday, April 20, a bigger and better springtime festival for children of all ages.

The exciting headliners for this mega-fun event include country star Jason Allen, fiddler-singer sensation Doug Moreland and singing zoologist Lucas Miller.

Five stages. More than two dozen musical acts, including That Darn Band, School of Rock Band, Johnny DJ, Japanese drums, mariachis, jazz, jugglers,  guitars, Hula Hoop Dancers, food and new exhibits, plus a Musical Hayride, horse rides, historical reenactments, treats and much more.

This year, we're partnering with The Smile Never Fades, an Austin breast-cancer charity, and Hula Hoops For Hope to set a Guinness Book world record for the most number of people working out simultaneously with Hula Hoops. The record of 290 was achieved by Allen Elementary School in Hutchison, Kan., on May 21, 2012.

Come help us twist and twirl our way to into the Guinness Book while raising funds for breast-cancer survivors! Register here to sign up to help set the record.

Hula Hoops will be available for purchase or rental at the festival, or you can bring your own. Instruction and lessons will be available before the record-setting attempt is held around 2 p.m. in Hoops Field next to Sprinkle Corner, the Pioneer Farms entrance village.
