CHILDREN'S EASTER EGG HUNT: Easter Sunday, March 27

Grab your baskets! Austin's biggest historic Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Sunday, March 27, in our Sprinkle Corner entry village.

In addition to three egg hunts staggered by age from 1-3, there will be an egg toss, egg races and historical activities and crafts — and fun all afternoon. Bunnies (real and stuffed toys) will be available for petting and the (the latter) for purchase in our quaint General Store.

Best part: Regular admission will be charged, probably the best deal in Austin for an afternoon of  Easter family fun in Austin.

Egg hunts will start at 1 p.m. for ages 1-3 years; 2 p.m. for ages 4-7, and 3 p.m. to ages 8 and older. An Adult Easter Egg Hunt is being held the night before. Look for details on our Home page. 

Egg races will be held for four age groups at the following times: Ages 4-7 at 11 a.m., ages 11-14 at 11:30 a.m., and ages 15 and up at 11:45 a.m.

Egg tossing contests will be held at the following times: Ages 4-7 at 1:30p.m., ages 8-10 at 1:45 p.m., ages 11-14 at 2:30 p.m., and ages 15 and up at 2:45 p.m.

Paper Plate Bunny crafts will also be offered throughout the day, as will historic reenactments at our five restored historic farmsteads.

Times: Gates open at 10 a.m., close at 5 p.m.

Tickets: Adults $8, children over age 2 $6. Pay the gate. No advance reservations necessary.
