Community Service Programs
Building and maintaining nature trails, clearing brush, cataloguing historic artifacts and planting heirloom gardens are among the exciting projects available at Pioneer Farms. Come help keep Texas history alive and have fun at the same time! Pioneer FarmsÕ offers the most interesting community service projects, at all skill and interest levels. A list of prospective projects is available by contacting Miss Celeste at 837.1215. Adult supervision required. Projects must be scheduled and approved at least one month in advance.
Please note: All Pioneer Farms programs operate rain or shine. Some programs take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Badge workshops and other special programs include a self-guided tour of Pioneer FarmsÕ historic areas.
Times: Saturdays at scheduled times.
Length: 2-6 hours
Cost: No admission charge. Tools and food/drinks are responsibility of participants.
